WorkRoll.com can host your WorkRoll installation for as little as $49.00 per month. Instead of running WorkRoll on your own web server, you can have WorkRoll.com do the hosting -- at a URL such as www.workroll.com/yourcompany -- with WorkRoll.com handling all hosting responsibilities, including mail-server hosting and technical support. WorkRoll.com can also modify the look-and-feel of your WorkRoll installation to match your company's branding.

You may be interested in this option if you don't have access to a server on your network that can host WorkRoll, or if you want users outside of your network to be able to access WorkRoll but don't have the internal capability to serve such a "public" web application, or if you wish to use the "external-feedback" feature but do not have a publicly accessable web server, or if you simply want someone else to handle technical aspects of the installation process.

Pricing for WorkRoll.com hosting is as follows (please note that the folowing prices are for hosted WorkRoll installations. If you plan to host your own WorkRoll installation, these fees do not apply; please go here to view self-hosted-license pricing):
  1. You must purchase a hosting license at a one-time cost of US$399.00, which includes: setup of the application on WorkRoll.com servers; integration with WorkRoll.com mail servers; the first month of hosting; 120 minutes of technical support (in addition to standard monthly techical support; see below); migration of you're existing WorkRoll data (if any, for example, if you have self-hosted WorkRoll on an evaluation basis); and configuration of the "external feedback" feature as needed. The cost of this license is non-refundable. If, at any point, you decide to discontinue WorkRoll.com hosting of your WorkRoll installation, this license will allow you to host your own WorkRoll installation as if you had purchased an unlimited-user license.


  2. WorkRoll.com charges a monthly fee for hosting (beyond the first month, which is covered by the hosting license above), based on the number of "active" users stored in your WorkRoll database.

    Please note: the WorkRoll application allows for "active" and "inactive" users. The number of "active" users stored in your database will often correspond to the total number of users you create in WorkRoll, but WorkRoll also allows you to mark certain users as "inactive"; inactive users cannot log into the WorkRoll application. Generally, inactive users are former members of your staff, or former customers or clients to whom you previously allowed access to your WorkRoll installation. Please note that "active users" does not refer to the number of users logged into WorkRoll at any given point, but to the total number of active users stored in your database.

    Monthly hosting fees are as follows, and include a specified number of minutes per month of free e-mail or telephone technical support (the number of users for a given month is calculated based on the average number of users per day for the preceding month, rounded down to the nearest whole number):

    • 1-5 users: US$49.00 per month (60 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 6-10 users: US$89.00 per month (75 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 11-20 users: US$159.00 per month (140 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 21-40 users: US$279.00 per month (250 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 41-80 users: US$479.00 per month (400 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 81-160 users: US$799.00 per month (700 mins. tech. support per month)
    • 161 or more users: please contact WorkRoll, or call (toll-free) 877-247-4818


Technical support beyond the specified number of minutes is billed at US$40.00 per hour, in 15-minute increments, rounded up. WorkRoll.com will notify you if you have exceeded your free monthly technical-support allocation.

All fees (license and monthly fees) are non-refundable, but there is no minimum commitment: you may cancel your hosting at any time. Since monthly fees (except for the first month) are billed for the previous month, a final, pro-rated payment applies for cancellations falling between billing cycles.
